Dr. Duc-Minh Lam-Do

Dr. Duc-Minh Lam Do received his DMD in dentistry at the University of Montreal in 2004. He then completed a postgraduate certificate in multidisciplinary dentistry from the University of Rochester in New York in 2005. He continued training in esthetic and occlusal rehabilitation, treatment of tongue and lip ties, and treatment of sleep apnea and implantology.

For the past 16 years, his practice emphasis has been on functional and physiologic dentistry. He is also co-founder of teledentistes.com, the first teledentistry platform in Quebec. And he is the founder of the Montreal Tongue-tie Institute, a comprehensive multidisciplinary center for the treatment of ankyloglossia for babies, children and adults who have issues related with breastfeeding, swallowing, breathing, speech and craniofacial growth. Dr. Lam-Do is one of 6 dentists in Quebec who has a Mastership from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Lam-Do is an accredited LASER provider from the Academy of LASER Dentistry, and is the only dentist in Quebec member of both the International Consortium of Oral Ankylofrenulae Professionals and the International Affiliation of Tongue-tie Professionals. He works with a team of IBCLC lactation consultants, pediatric chiropractors and osteopaths, midwives, nurses and MD, oro-myofunctional therapists , speech and language pathologists. He treats symptomatic tongue-ties on a daily basis and is a consultant for health centers and hospitals in Quebec in this field.

Known to have an attentive whole body approach to his patients, Dr. Lam-Do is dedicated to providing comprehensive masticatory system dentistry. And tongue-ties treatment and education is part of those specialties where dentistry overlaps into medicine.
