Dr. Anne O’Donnell
I qualified as a dentist from Cork Dental school in 1984. I worked as an associate in the UK for 2 years, and at the same time did a clinical attachment in Oral surgery at The London Dental Hospital, Whitechapel. I returned to Ireland in 1986 and worked as a dental associate for 4 years . I then joined the public dental community service and worked there until 1997. In 1998 I started my own dental practice, and it was located within a medical/ pharmacy operation. In 2008 I sold my practice to the Smiles group and became group clinical director and was an non executive Director. I was responsible for implementing all clinical protocols within the group. I also helped with the expansion of clinics . I left the group in 2011 to set up a mobile dental service for care home residents. I used a cloud based practice management software to manage all the homes/ residents. We provided care to 150 plus homes. However, Govt funding ended as did the service.
In 2013 I bought a dental practice and developed it into a multi associate, general and specialist clinic , achieving 10x growth in the 7 years. I have attended many post graduate courses, including Prof Paul tipton’s 2 year restorative course , and Dr David harris’s one year implant course. I am trained in fast Braces 9 achieved Master level ) and Invisalign . I have huge industry knowledge , having worked in every sector . I also have a lot of dental business knowledge.
