It serves to open the channels of communication for the sharing of knowledge and best practices between US Latino, LATAM, & Emerging Markets, and everyone else who wants to collaborate with them. This people-focused initiative seeks to advance responsible and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare and dentistry, with a focus on building trust, access, and engagement among U.S. Latino, Latin American, Caribbean, and Emerging Market populations. By placing doctors (MDs, DDSs, DMDs, and other experts) at the forefront of AI leadership, it aims to ensure that technology enhances, not replaces, human potential, compassion, and dignity in patient care.

Aligned with the HIB’s mission to uphold Hippocratic principles in healthcare innovation, the initiative will serve as a strategic engagement engine that strengthens partnerships among global medical and dental schools, hospitals, associations, and industry leaders. Its goals include promoting AI literacy, fostering culturally sensitive education, and bridging global communities through ethical and sustainable innovation.

Most importantly, the Latino/Hispano Dental-Medical AI Initiative is inclusive and collaborative, welcoming members of all races, ethnicities, creeds, and backgrounds.
