ALD Standard Level Laser Training & Certification Course (SLC)

Dr. Darbar continuously runs courses and trains dentists worldwide. He is an invited speaker and published author on lasers in dentistry and has been instrumental in pioneering the use of low-level laser therapy (LLLT), now termed photobiomodulation (PBM/PBMT), using high-power surgical lasers with diffusers.

As a leading member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), he holds master, certified educator, and certification course trainer status. He serves on the ALD Board of Directors, has been re-invited and elected to ex-officio leadership roles, and is currently treasurer, certification and education chair, and an invited member of the science and research committee. He has also served as international relations committee chair, co-chaired education and certification committees, chaired the ALD 2018 general and scientific sessions, co-chaired the iLED 2018 and 2019 Dubai conferences, and was conference chair for ALD 2021.

The ALD Standard Certification program is peer-reviewed, has digital and in-person components, and provides hands-on training by seasoned clinicians. The comprehensive nature of this laser certificate course is designed for the entire dental team and dental schools for 3rd—and 4th-year dental students and postdocs. The examination is psychometrically validated and reviewed every three years.
